Before the pandemic occurred, you must’ve thought about the upcoming movies that were going to be released this year and were so excited to go watch them in the theaters. But due to the pandemic, things didn’t go as planned. The movie you wanted to see so badly’s release date got extended and movie theaters aren’t open anymore. But not to worry, because there are still some amazing and exciting movies that will be released this fall season.
Tenet: This movie released on September 3, 2020. If you are into the action and thriller genre then this movie would be your best choice. It is directed by Christopher Nolen (director of Batman Begins and writer of Man of Steel) and stars John David Washington and Robert Pattinson who are secret agents in the movie. John David Washington is the protagonist who gets captured by an enemy and is forced to take a poisonous capsule called cyanide. He ends up surviving the poison and finds out that the enemy made some type of nuclear bombs that will start a third world war. His mission is to defeat the enemy before the bombs blast. This movie is currently airing in some movie theaters with drive-ins which could make for a fun way to hangout with friends and family.
Wonder Woman 1984: Yup, there is a sequel to Wonder Woman releasing on October 2, 2020. This movie stars Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Chris Pine as Steve, the lover of Wonder Woman. Yup, that’s another shocker: Chris Pine is starring in the second movie. But how is that possible when he supposedly died in the first movie? Well, that’s just a twist to the movie. This movie raises a new conflict with a new villainess known as the Cheetah who has super powers and squares up against Wonder Woman.
Save Yourselves!: The title may make this seem as a suspense or thriller movie but this movie is actually a comedy and fantasy. It is based on a couple who want to get away from their screens and live in a cabin to reconnect with each other without their phones. Conflict arises when they are under a sudden attack from an unknown “poof” which is a type of alien. They start to work together to escape by using their phones. This movie releases on October 2, 2020.
Black Widow: We have seen the actress Scarlett Johansson star as Black Widow in many Marvel movies but we haven’t seen Black Widow as its own movie. This movie stars Natasha Romanova who is a Russian actress. Black Widow faces the challenges of surviving as she is being hunted by the U.S.S.R. This movie is scheduled to be released on November 6, 2020.
No Time To Die: No Time to Die is another action and thriller movie that stars Daniel Craig (from Knives Out) as James Bond and Rami Malek as Safin. It is about James Bond who is a spy on a mission to find a kidnapped scientist until he finds out that the villain, Safin, created a new weapon technology that is to be used for dangerous purposes. Soul: This is an animation Pixar movie made by the producers of Inside Out and Up. This movie is about a middle school teacher who loves jazz. His soul travels to a different realm where he helps another soul whose passion helps him come to terms with his own life. This is a cute and meaningful movie to watch because it teaches how to have good character and good qualities within us. This movie releases on November 20, 2020.
Dune: This is a science fiction movie that is based on a novel and is a remake of the first Dune movie released in 2003. It stars Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya.
