Quarantine has been so boring at times. Sometimes, there’s nothing to do other than scroll through every social media app on our phones. However, many people have been doing new things in quarantine, finding new hobbies and interests they weren’t aware of or didn’t have the time to do before.

Many people have found an interest in cooking or baking. Cooking or baking is a great way to relieve stress and have some fun during these times. Whether it’s baking cakes or making pasta, this is a fun activity to do to get your mind off things and make something super delicious!

Many people have also been making jewelry during quarantine, which is so cool! If you’re looking for something new and creative to try, make some necklaces or earrings! You could make such cute pieces of jewelry.

Painting and drawing have also been stress relieving activities for many in quarantine. A SOCES student who’s been drawing during quarantine says, “drawing makes me feel calm.” It’s so important to take care of yourself and your mental health, drawing and painting can help you feel better during these times.

Picnics have been super popular during quarantine as well! Picnics are such a fun way to go outside while social distancing and to keep yourself and others around you safe.

Also, people have been journaling while in quarantine, which is a good way to write down your thoughts or anything else you’d like to write about.

Many people have also been listening to new music while in quarantine. You can find so many new artists to listen to and new genres of music, too. You could also make Spotify and Apple Music playlists and edit them to your liking. Making and organizing playlists is so fun to do. You could have dance parties in your room!

Students can often feel isolated while doing school from home and not having much to do afterwards. That’s why it’s good to find new hobbies. It could be making jewelry, making clothes, drawing, cooking, journaling, or anything else you’d like to do.

No matter what you’ve been doing during quarantine, you’re doing an amazing job! Make sure to take care of yourselves and stay safe.

Go Knights!
